I am writing to you regarding a business offer from a Vietnamese company who is supplying direct reduced iron (DRI). DRI has sponge structure with low carbon content, manufactured by process that reduce directly from fine iron ore with anthracite coal. DRI has complex, strong structure and low impurity content. This material is used as raw material for steel making and can be used in Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) and can be used as cooler material in converter in Blast Furnace. It also can be used to make iron powder.

DRI is used to make high quality steel product like steel pipe for oil and gas project, steel for automobile industry, ship building, nuclear power station, and military equipment.

 

The detailed specification of the product is as follows:

 

Tfe: 88% min, Fe metal: 85% min, Mn: 0.5% max, Si: 0.4% max, C: 1.4% max, S: 0.05% max, P: 0.05% max, Size: 6-18 mm.

 

The said company is looking for Korean customers for their product or a partner who can transfer technology to make iron powder of total Fe 99% from DFI of total Fe 88%.
