파키스탄 대사관저 초청 면담
신명진 회장은 주한 파키스탄 Rahim Hayat Qureshi(라힘 하얏트 쿠레쉬) 대사의 요청으로 대사관저에서 만찬 후 양기관의 협력 강화방안에 대해 의견을 나누었다.
라힘 대사는 현재 파키스탄은 한국으로부터 9억불 수입, 3억불을 수출해 무역적자액이 6억불을 상회한다면서, 인구가 2억이 넘어 내수시장이 커 한국기업들에게 좋은 시장일 뿐만 아니라, 농산물⋅섬유⋅건축자재 등 국제경쟁력 있는 좋은 수출제품들이 많다고 소개하면서 코이마 회원들에게 많은 관심을 가져달라고 요청했다.
신명진 회장은 한국 수입기업들이 파키스탄에 대한 인식개선이 필요하다면서, 내년 1월에 있을 CEO 아카데미에 강연기회를 제안하고 주한 파키스탄대사관이 많은 홍보와 노력을 당부했다.
Meeting with Pakistani Ambassador to Korea
On December 18, Shin Myoung-jin, chairman of KOIMA, met with H.E. Rahim Hayat Qureshi, Pakistani ambassador to Korea to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation after dinner at the ambassador’s residence. In particular, Ambassador Rahim requested KOIMA to make efforts to resolve the trade imbalance between the two countries. He expressed the hope that KOIMA would show stronger interest in Pakistan's excellent products such as agricultural products, textiles and construction materials.
