(1) 주한 우루과이 신임 대사는 한국수입협회 회장에게 인사하는 자리에서 다음달 11월 중순 우루과이 외교부 장관 방한 일정에 한국수입협회와 회원사의 적극적인 지원을 요청하였다.
(2) 인구 330만명 우루과이 경제는 10배 규모의 농산물을 생산하는 국가로 한국시장에 대한 전략상품을 개발하여 최고의 사업기회를 제공하는 방안을 연구하기로 논의하였다.
이에 신명진 회장은 우루과이와의 무역거래 활성화를 위한 우루과이 기업들의 수입상품전시회 참가를 독려하고 이에 대하여 신임대사는 최고의 우선사업으로 추진하기로 회신하였다.
Welcomed the new Uruguay Ambassador’s visit
Chairman Myoung-jin Shin met with H.E. Luis Fernando Iribarne Restuccia, new Uruguay Ambassador to Korea, on October 18 and discussed for recommending strategic commodities from Uruguay for successful entry to the Korean market. In particular, the Ambassador emphasized that he would pursue participation in the Imported Goods Fair as a top business priority for the embassy in Korea.
